GARY R. PLACHY, CPA
Gary has 33 years of public accounting experience, primarily in the income tax and estate tax areas. His past work experience has also included being the chief financial officer of an interstate trucking company, and manager of the cost estimating department of an electrical contractor, responsible for cost estimating, bidding and material purchasing. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business honor society. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1974 and received his CPA permit in 1976. |
JULIE A. MCCOY, CPA
Prior to joining Richardson & Associates, Julie operated her own bookkeeping firm, providing bookkeeping and income tax services to individuals and small business. Her previous experience includes supervising office and telemarketing activity for an international firm, and accounts payable and inventory pricing for a local equipment company. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with distinction from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She passed the CPA exam in 1991. She is a member of Alpha Chi, a national honor society, and Omicron Delta Kappa, a leadership-honors society for students who are actively involved in school activities. She is also an active member of a local P.E.O. Chapter, a philanthropic organization, which supports women in higher education. |
SHAWN L. WIEMER, CPA
Shawn’s work consists of assisting small business clients with their year-end tax reporting requirements as well as preparation of financial statements needed for internal use, financing, bonding or other third party users. He also works with individuals who are starting a new business, in the areas of entity selection, accounting questions and compliance. He passed the CPA exam in 1989, and has been working in public accounting in the areas of audit and accounting, income tax and small business consulting since 1987 when he graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
